Browser Caching

For publishers that call specify.serve() from frontend web applications you now have built in caching to improve ad serving efficeincy!

Simply enable the feature and you can now call serve without even passing a wallet address.

Perfect for times when a user's wallet connection may have timed out but we still want to serve them a relevant ad.

Best part, no cookies 🍪

Harder, better, faster, stronger

For over a month we've been in refactor mode for a lot of specify.

We won't go into too many details because a lot of it's special sauce and frankly it can be a little bit boring and way too technical.

But essentially what days for me (Ross) and my cofounder Madusha looked like was hopping on a call and continuing yesterdays debugging and improvements work.

But the hard work has paid off. Not only is Specify way more stable but it's also way more efficient. We ended up rebuilding multiple campaigns from the past two months - some had decreases but the big important part is that our newest campaigns running on multiple publishers got more efficient.

Specify is harder (breaks less)

Specify is better (more accurate data)

Specify is faster (ad serve times are faster)

Specify is stronger (more conversions)

The very beginning of specify was it's targeting system. To those not familiar that's targeting ads to users based on the apps they've previously used onchain.

The USP however quickly changed more towards CPTx and billing advertisers for real results, but ultimately that's only possible if we have great targeting.

So, although simple at first glance this advanced analytics feature is the start of taking a deeper look back into our targeting and how we can make it even better.

The effectiveness score is relative to overall campaign performance and considers the overall size of the potential audience for a given project. As you can see in the example this highlights how bigger projects may get more conversions overall but ultimately are not efficient.
For projects with unlimited budget this is no problem, but for those looking for efficient use of advertising dollars it's an essential look into performance that can be used for future campaigns.
