Review & Approval Process

Specify uses a two-stage review process — one for organizations, one for each campaign — to maintain quality for both publishers and advertisers. The goal is thoroughness without friction: we want to get your campaign live quickly while making sure it’s set up to perform.

Organization review

When you first create or import an organization, it enters Review status. During this time you can:

  • Complete your organization profile
  • Create campaigns and upload ad creatives
  • Set up targeting and budgets

Your campaigns won’t go live until the organization is approved, but you can do all the setup work in parallel — there’s no need to wait.

Why we review organizations

Organization review protects everyone in the network. It ensures:

  • Legitimate projects with real teams are using the platform
  • Organization details accurately represent the project
  • Your organization meets our content and industry standards
  • Publisher reputation is protected from low-quality or misleading advertisers

Timeline

Most organization reviews complete within 1–2 business days. If we need additional information, a team member will reach out via email or Telegram.

Campaign review

After your organization is approved, each new campaign you create also requires review before going live. During this time:

  • You can still edit any campaign element
  • Our team reviews your creative, targeting, and overall strategy
  • Campaigns won’t serve ads until explicitly approved

Why we review campaigns

Campaign review makes sure:

  • Creative content meets our standards and publisher requirements
  • Targeting is configured appropriately for your goals
  • Conversion tracking is properly set up

The process

  1. Submit for review — when your campaign is ready, click “Submit for Review”
  2. Initial assessment — our team reviews campaign details and creative assets
  3. Optimization consultation — we’ll reach out to discuss strategy. This isn’t a gatekeeping step; it’s a collaborative conversation to help your campaign perform
  4. Final approval — after any adjustments are incorporated, the campaign is approved
  5. Launch — the campaign begins serving ads according to your schedule

We designed this to minimize back-and-forth while maximizing results. The goal isn’t hurdles — it’s making sure your spend generates the highest possible return.

Timeline

  • Initial review typically begins within 24 hours of submission
  • Most campaigns are approved within 2–3 business days
  • Total time depends on complexity and any adjustments discussed
  • Expedited reviews are available for time-sensitive campaigns — reach out if you need one
